Jefferson Starship is set to perform their 2,000th concert since they first soared in 1974 at The Concert Hall on November 3rd. This historic show will feature the band's first foray into opera and electronica with "Blade (Runner) Against The Empire" which debuts as part of a 3 set performance which will also include a set comprised of their most cherished recordings and classic hits culled from the vast songbook of their many iterations.
Jefferson Starship just performed for a national broadcast in Israel – their first ever appearance there - and in Italy as part of a ten-country sortie that ends Thanksgiving in Tokyo, Japan. They return briefly from overseas to perform in NY. Fronted by Grammy nominated lead vocalist
Cathy Richardson who starred in "Love, Janis" , Freiberg and Kantner, will be supported by the World Premiere of the Imperial Messenger Service which carries forth the repertoire and mantle of Freiberg's Quicksilver, and the legendary Pig Light Show, adding "Blade Runner" visuals to there renowned psychedelic palette. NY violinist Jason Crosby will also appear, joining the band for a tribute to the late Papa John Creach who joined Jefferson Airplane in 1971 and was also a member of Hot Tuna and Jefferson Starship.
The band continues to perform their iconic repertoire of hits spanning all eras of their existence, including "Jane," "Somebody To Love," "Miracles," "White Rabbit," "Volunteers," "Count On Me" and many more.
