Jan. 18 Odd Couple Matinee & Evening Show Cancelled
The January 18th matinee & evening performances of The Odd Couple have been cancelled due to Nathan Lane's laryngitis. Lane co-stars with fellow Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick in the smash Neil Simon play.

The comedy, which has been a sold-out hit since its October 27th opening at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, recently extended its run through June 4th.Directed by Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello (Assassins, Take Me Out, Wicked), The Odd Couple stars Lane (The Producers, Guys and Dolls) as Oscar, Broderick (The Producers, How to Succeed...)as Felix, Lee Wilkof (Democracy, Kiss Me, Kate, Little Shop of Horrors) as Vinnie, Rob Bartlett (Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors revival) as Speed, Peter Frechette (Eastern Standard, Our Country's Good) as Roy, Olivia d'Abo ("The Wonder Years," Wayne's World 2) as Gwendolyn Pigeon and
Jessica Stone (Grease, How to Succeed...) as Cecily Pigeon. Mike Starr (Requiem for a Heavyweight, "Ed," films such as Goodfellas)
recently replaced Brad Garrett ("Everybody Loves Raymond") in the role
of Murray the Cop. The show opened on October 27th at the Brooks
Atkinson theatre to somewhat mixed reviews.
The Odd Couple
relates the platonic love story of two very mismatched men--neatnik
photographer Felix Unger (Broderick) and sportswriting sloven Oscar
Madison (Lane). Sharing a room, their initial warm feelings for one
another are tested when their lifestyles clash.
The
revival is produced by Emanuel Azenberg, Ira Pittelman, Jeffrey Sine, Max Cooper and Ben Sprecher. The Odd Couple features sets by John Lee Beatty,
costumes by Ann Roth and lighting design by Kenneth Posner.
