Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman, stars of the upcoming Broadway production of A STEADY RAIN, surprised many when they showed up unannounced at Chicago's Cook County courthouse yesterday. The megastars were in town to perform background research for their new Broadway play, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The paper reports, "...deputies' hearts were a-twitter. "They came in, best we can tell, with everyone else and walked around pretty nondescript," said Cook County Sherriff's spokesman Steve Patterson, adding that the court was not told of their arrival in advance. The actors confirmed their identities when asked."
