Tonight, May 31st, Broadway Sessions welcomes Lee Siegel, Carly Sakolove and Alexis Smith to the Laurie Beechman Theater.
Lee Siegel is currently making his Broadway debut as “Simon Zealots" in the Tony nominated revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. Lee’s favorite roles include Jean Val Jean (Les Mis), Judas (JCS), Old Deuteronomy (Cats) and John (Ms. Saigon).
Carly Sakolove is a YouTube sensation and vocalist. Sakolove will present her new one woman show of impersonations “The Voices in My Head” June 4th, 8th and 12th at The Duplex. The show features writing and direction by Bill Russell and musical direction by Dan Micciche.
The evening will also feature performances by opera and musical theatre singer Alexis Smith. An open mic party follows the show until 2 am.
BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.
Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 west 42nd street (corner of 42nd street and 9th avenue). 212-695-6909. Doors open at 10:30 pm with showtime at 11pm and musical theater open mic party goes til 2 am. $5 drink specials all night. $5 cover includes a donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
