Idina Menzel to Participate in Tribeca Film Festival's Talk Series

Idina Menzel has trail blazed a career in film, television and theater. Starting at the inception of stage shows, she has made not only made roles iconic, but has also performed in a variety of mediums and showcased her abilities as a songwriter.

Idina will head one the Tribeca Film Festival's Talks with TRIBECA TALKS: STORYTELLERS - IDINA MENZEL, in which she will talk about her life and career in front of a audience. The Talk will take place on Monday, April 18th, at 4pm. Tickets can be purchased for the event here starting at $43.50.

Idina Menzel's diverse career traverses stage, film, television and music. She was in the original Broadway cast of Rent and also starred in the 2005 film adaptation. Menzel was most recently seen on Broadway in the original production If/Then, which earned her a third Tony nomination. She gained widespread popularity voicing Elsa in the 2013 hit Disney film Frozen. Menzel co-founded the A BroaderWay Foundation in 2010, which offers girls from underserved communities an outlet for creativity through arts-centered programs. In 2014, Menzel was recognized as one of Variety Magazine's Power of Women honorees for her work with the organization.

The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro and Craig Hatkoff. The mission of the festival is "To enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience." The Tribeca Film Festival was founded to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan.
