The IRT 3B Development Series presents MadIris Productions An Evening of Reckonings: two new one-act plays

Outside Sitka by Josh Billig - the winner of the 2010 Tennessee Williams playwriting award - tells the story of a young couple in Alaska struggling with a brutal tangle of chemical and emotional dependency. Directed by Larry Singer, featuring Marianna McClellan and Tim Wersan*.

I'm Just a Visitor in this World is a Texas father's meditation on acceptance, atonement and identity, as awaits a visit from his long-estranged son. Written and directed by Todd Pate, performed by Chris Hurt*.

Since 2007, IRT has become a key resource for indy theater makers in New York, hosting radically affordable, full-immersion development residences for emerging and established artists including: Young Jean Lee, Reggie Watts, Tommy Smith, Immediate Medium, Mike Daisey, The Nonsense Company, Katt Lissard, Thomas Bradshaw, Group Theory, Performance Lab 115, Human Animals and The Paper Industry.

IRT's intimate performance space offers artists the flexibility and autonomy to mount full-bodied workshops and do robust technical experimentation, creating a supportive environment for taking risks and test-driving new work before adventurous audiences and potential producers.
