Last night on American Idol, the top 10 girls laid down the law when they performed for the first time for America's vote.

There has been a lot of controversy around the first contestant Zoanette. SHe has been known not for her voice, but for her ability to simply entertain the audience. It wasno different tonight when she chose to sing What's Love Got to Do With It. All four judges agreed that it was not very good, but once again her personality shines through.

Kree Johnson sang Stronger is personally competing with other country singer Janelle to be the best in the genre. I feel that last night Kree did just that. Her vocals are so effortless and she has got a great personality to go with it.

Once again Candice Glover did an excellent job last night singing a John Legend song. It was a great song choice by someone who I think will go very far in the competition. The judges have agreed since the beginning that Candice may be the one to beat.

Country singer Tenna Torres had an ok night when she sang Lost. Tenna is good vocally but I am not sure she has what it takes to go further in the competition. She plays it safe every week and in turn does seem a little forgettable.

Another frontrunner, Angie Miller, really brought it last night. She sang Never Gone by Colton Dixon and she did so wonderfully. She was also exceptional on the piano.

Other notable performances include Amber Holcomb, Breanna Steer and Janelle Arthur. Others like Adriana Latonio and Aubrey Cleland seemed to stuggle with their performance.

Tune in tonight when the guys have their shot to advance to next week. On Thursday, the first of the top 20 will be eliminated.
