The performers were in top for last night when they sang two songs each. Tonight on American Idol another contestant goes home and Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreey returns to the Idol stage.

The showed kicked off with a medley from the top 6. The group sounded great together. Once again however, the weak link was Lazaro. After that Jimmy gave his thoughts on last night's performances.

It was then time to reveal who would be safe for another week. The contestants were broken into groups. Lazaro was brought too center stage and Angie was sent to the far end. Kree stood closest to the contestants chairs.

Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery sang a See You Tonight off his latest album. I'm not a big fan of country music nor was a fan of his during his season. The song was just ok and his performance was mediocre.

After that performance the last three contestants moved onto the stage. Janelle went to the far side with Angie while Candice stood by Kree and Amber joined Lazaro.

Kelly Clarkson soon took the stage and reminded us all why she won the first season. The entire auditorium lit up with glow sticks as she debuted her new single People Like Us. Like most of her songs it was pretty catchy.

It was soon revealed that the top two were Kree and Candice while the bottom two were Lazaro and Amber. With much anticipation, Ryan announced that Lazaro received the least votes for the week and would sing for the save. As it was expected the judges did not use the save.

Tune in for another week when the top 5 fight to stay alive in the competition.
