It was another night of American Idol and by the end there would be 6 contestants left. The show kicked off with a group performance of Somebody to Love. They all sounded so good together that it was difficult to pick one stand out performance.

Like in weeks past, Jimmy revealed his thoughts on last night's performances. He was not really impressed with any of the contestants saying that most of them picked the wrong song.

The first guest performance was season 9 contestant Casey James. Singing an original song, Casey's performances was enjoyable as the song.

It was revealed that all the judges with the exception of Mariah, agreed that Angie, Kree and Amber should be in the top 3. Ryan then announced that Kree, Angie and Lazaro will be moving on to next week.

The next performer was 6-time Grammy Award winner and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. She sang a new song it is still evident to this day as to why she was crowed the winner in 2005. The song was okay but she had the great ability to make the performance entertaining anyway.

Candice was the next contestant to get the good news that she would be moving on and Amber was soon to follow. Janelle and Burnell were in the bottom 2. After the break it was revealed that Burnell received the least votes. However, he got to sing for the save from the judges.

Unfortunately the vote was not unanimous and he was sent home. Tune in next week when the stakes get higher and another contestant is sent home.
