Service on NYC Transit subways and buses were curtailed beginning at 7 p.m, Sunday, October 28, and remain closed today along with Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad and New Jersey Transit. 

Broadway shows cancelled their Sunday evening performances and all shows have been cancelled for Monday evening as well. No announcements have been made as of yet regarding shows on Tuesday, pending weather conditions.

The duration of the service suspension is unknown, and there is no timetable for restoration. Service will be restored only when it is safe to do so, after careful inspections of all equipment and tracks. Even with minimal damage this is expected to be a lengthy process.
