On Monday, February 6th at 7PM, five of Young Broadway's favorite blondes will present "Blonde Ambition," a one-night-only concert to benefit 'Broadway Barks.' The evening will feature Hunter Ryan Herdlicka ("A Little Night Music"), Lora Lee Gayer ("Follies"), Tess Soltau ("The Addams Family"), Ryah Nixon ("9 to 5" national tour), and Jessica Waxman, with musical direction by Benjamin Rauhala.

These five young Carnegie Mellon alumni will be reunited on stage for a very special evening of friendship and song to support a great cause. Audience members can expect to hear musical theater classics by Stephen Sondheim and Jule Styne, exciting new music from contemporary composers Georgia Stitt and Alex Wyse, pop tunes by Sara Bareilles and Fleetwood Mac, and much more. 'Broadway Barks' is a charity all five of the performers hold near and dear to their hearts, particularly Herdlicka and Gayer, who both shared the Broadway stage with 'Barks' founder Bernadette Peters, and Waxman, who adopted her beloved puppy Woody through 'Barks.'

The concert will take place at THE TRIAD, 158 West 72nd Street on Monday, February 6th at 7PM.

Tickets are $10 plus a two-drink-minimum, cash only, and are available HERE:

All proceeds go directly to Broadway Barks.

Broadway Barks came about as a result of Bernadette Peters' and Mary Tyler Moore's passion for animals. Originally conceived as a program to promote the adoption of shelter animals, Broadway Barks has evolved into an event that has not only focused on the plight of homeless animals but has opened the door of communication and fostered a spirit of community among the number shelters and rescue groups working throughout the city. Previously many of these groups struggled in anonymity and isolation left to their own devices for promotion and fundraising in a job which is emotionally draining.

As Broadway Barks looks towards the future our goal is to continue in the path already established as well as to focus more attention on education, targeting such areas as responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter, and the importance of pet identification. http://www.triadnyc.com/event_spotlight.php?fromCalendar=true&eventID=2088
