BroadwayWorld.com has received word that 'Frank Wildhorn & Friends' which was scheduled to play a very special series of performances at Las Vegas' Judy Bayley Theater to benefit The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV has been cancelled.

RIALTO CHATTER: Work To Resume On SPIDER-MAN's Hilton Home

The New York Times reports today that "modest construction work is expected to resume on Wednesday morning at Broadway's Hilton Theater to prepare for the new musical production "SPIDER-MAN, Turn Off the Dark," even though the ultimate fate of the show is still in limbo, three people involved with the production said this afternoon." ROCK OF AGES Cast Extends Through Summer 2010, Lenk Joins 9/14

The cast of the five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES, will continue to rock eight times a week through summer 2010. Tom Lenk joins the cast as "Franz," the role he originated in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas productions, beginning Monday, September 14, 2009 for a six month limited engagement. Mr. Lenk is best known for his portrayal as "Andrew Wells" on television's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Mr. Lenk is taking over for Wesley Taylor, who will play his final performance on Sunday, September 13. Mr. Taylor is leaving to join the cast of the upcoming production of The Addams Family. That move will now bring such iconic characters as Iron Man and Spider-Man into the family of Mickey Mouse, Goofy and WALL-E.
