After much hype and controversy, LOVE NEVER DIES opens tonight, 9 March, in London at the Adelphi Theatre. Previews began on 22 February and stars Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo with direction by Jack O'Brien. The show will subsequently open in New York on November 11, 2010 and then in Australia in 2011. The word in London is that the premiere will deliver the splashiest opening night party in West End history, with the party venue being turned into Coney Island. (more...)

GLEE Adds 4th New York City Tour Date at Radio City, 5/30

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the cast of the FOX series hit GLEE is kicking off its live tour in May, with dates slated for Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and New York. Signature Honors Sondheim w/ Weekend of Free Events

On March 20 and 21, The Signature Theatre will celebrate the life and work of composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim, the man who has transformed the face of American musical theater with works such as A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Company, Follies, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Sunday in the Park with George. Sondheim turns 80 on March 22, and since he's Signature's "signature" composer, the theater company will honor him with a full weekend of free events including lobby performances, backstage tours, films, lectures, actor discussions, a critic forum, a sing-along, and a birthday cake. The schedule for the Signature's Sondheim Birthday Weekend is Saturday, March 20 from 12 - 7pm and Sunday, March 20 from12:45 - 10pm. (more...)

Legendary singer-dancer-actress Mitzi Gaynor, star of such films as South Pacific, Les Girls, Anything Goes, and a longtime headliner in Las Vegas and the nightclub circuit, making her first NY night club appearance in years in May at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, will be honored with the Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award.
