Rialto Chatter: FELA! Cancelled This Evening Due to Multiple Injuries

BroadwayWorld.com has received a slew of emails tonight from theatergoers noting that tonight's scheduled 7pm performance of FELA! was cancelled due to multiple injuries. Audience members tell BroadwayWorld.com that they arrived at the theatre to be told that the show would begin late because they were doing onstage rehearsals of understudies to see if the show could go on, which ultimately it did not as the show was officially cancelled at 7:15, fifteen minutes after its scheduled start time.
There's no word at this time on which performers from the dance-heavy show are injured. More information to come as it's available.

Billy Crystal Performs 700 Sundays For Kravis Center Benefit, 12/6

Beginning tomorrow, December 5, The Celebrity SkiFest is returning to Deer Valley Resort, as the resort kicks off the winter season with the invitational event on December 5 and 6. For the event, olympic ski legends will be paired with television and film celebrities as they compete in giant slalom races on Birdseye run. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of the individuals who will receive the Kennedy Center Honors of 2009. Recipients to be honored at the 32nd annual national celebration of the arts are: writer, composer, actor, director, and producer Mel Brooks; pianist and composer Dave Brubeck; opera singer Grace Bumbry; actor, director, and producer Robert De Niro; and singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen.
