The U.K. Sun has reported that teen pop star Justin Bieber has his sights set on the big screen and would like to make his leading man debut in a remake of the movie musical, Grease, alongside contemporary Miley Cyrus. Bieber tells The Sun: "It would be a lot of fun. It's been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny." When asked about a potential co-star Bieber was quick to respond: "I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act...I'd want some great people to star in it. Wouldn't Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee? We'd just need to write it into the script that she broke into song." (more...)

The star posted on Twitter last night after being injured in the show that "Got my 1st broadway injury tonight. Hurt my hip in the first act. But I finished the show! Thank you so much to everyone who came tonight. Sorry I couldn't sign. :( It's hard to stand/walk. Hopefully the physical therapist can fix me! :) If you'd like, you can send your playbills/tkts/pics w/ a stamped return envelope to the theatre & I'll get them back to you. On Wednesday, September 1, HAIR's 'Claude,' Gavin Creel, bid farewell to the production at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. Creel originated the role in the Broadway revival that transferred to London this spring, which opened officially on April 14th, 2010. Claire Danes is this year's recipient of the 2010 Primetime Emmy for Best Actress in a Mini Series or a Movie for HBO's Temple Grandin. Theater vet Danes has appeared on Broadway in Pygmalion. Musical Numbers Revealed for BROADWAY ON BROADWAY!

Musical numbers for the 2010 Broadway on Broadway concert (www.broadwayonbroadway.com) were announced today by The Broadway League and the Times Square Alliance. La Cage Aux Folles star Kelsey Grammer will host the 19th annual concert, which is presented by HUE Leggings and Continental Airlines and officially sponsored by The New York Times, to be held this Sunday, September 12th at 11:30am in Times Square. The annual free outdoor concert brings together stars and performances from current and upcoming Broadway productions to celebrate the beginning of the Broadway season. For the 3rd consecutive year, Alex Lacamoire will be the Musical Director of Broadway on Broadway.
