Radio Star is a 1940's radio detective spoof written and performed by Tanya O'Debra with original music by Andrew Mauriello. Watch (but mainly listen) as Nick McKittrick: Private Dick hilariously solves a murder in "The Case of the Long-Distance Lover". Fresh off a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Radio Star marks Tanya O'Debra's re-emergence into the theatre after her 8-year collaboration as one half of The O'Debra Twins. She is armed and dangerous with the bawdy sense of humor you've come to love and expect from her.

Tanya O'Debra, formerly of The O'Debra Twins, hails from the underground comedy scene in New York City. With The O'Debra Twins, Miss O'Debra performed all over Manhattan at venues such as Joe's Pub, PS 122, La Mama Etc, The Bowery Poetry Club, and many more. Andrew Mauriello, a composer with over 15 years of experience including his studies at Berklee College of Music, has been incorporating his songwriting into a variety of settings with a vast spectrum of musical styles. He has performed at Boston's Symphony Hall, crowded basements in Philadelphia, sold out shows at the late CBGB's in New York City, and seemingly everywhere in between. "Absolutely fascinating." - Askew Reviews. The accuracy of the 1940's themed music paired with Mr. Mauriello's flair for stylized comedy plays an integral role in "Radio Star". This is the first collaboration between Mr. Mauriello and Miss O'Debra, but it certainly won't be the last.
Horse Trade Theater Group is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work, it has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater.
