Horse Trade Theater Group Presents Monthly Bastardpiece Theatre

By:

Burlesque MC Bastard Keith and striptease beauty Madame Rosebud have scoured the earth to find the dumbest, goriest, nakedest exploitation movies you've never seen. Bastardpiece Theater is the result: an out of control evening featuring wild go-go, drinking games, giveaways and hilarious live commentary. The inaugural show on Thursday, October 13 will feature the deeply stupid film, The Gore-Gore Girls and guest commentator Brian Silliman.

Bastardpiece Theatre will be on the second Thursday of every month at 10:30pm at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Ave and Ave A) beginning Thursday, October 13. Tickets ($20) may be purchased in advance at www.horseTRADE.info or by calling Smarttix at 212-868-4444.

BASTARD KEITH is a burlesque MC, singer, writer and gadabout. With his partner Madame Rosebud he founded The Sophisticates, the only burlesque show to be thrown out of the Plaza Hotel for indecency. He hosted Revealed Burlesque for its entire run, and MCs frequently for The Floating Kabarette at Galapagos Arts Space, The Rhinestone Follies, Pink Room Burlesque, D20 Burlesque, The Slipper Room, Wasabassco Burlesque, Burlesque Nouveau, Le Scandal Cabaret, and many others.

Madame RoseBUD is Burlesque's Girl Who Fell to Earth and a co-producer with The Sophisticates. After an early career in fine art and many years of expensive and prestigious dance/acting/vocal/fine art training Rosebud opted for debauchery and now funnels all her creativity into Burlesque. Rosebud's solo career has encompassed performances from coast to coast and overseas, with stops at the London Burlesque Festival, the New York Burlesque Festival, and competing at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend.

HORSE TRADE THEATER GROUP is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work, it has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater. Horse Trade's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent Theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. It is also the home of FRIGID New York - the first and only festival of its kind in New York City.
