Horse Trade presents SUPERCUTE'S ICE CREAM SOCIAL HOSTED BY RACHEL TRACHTENBURG, JULIA CUMMING & OLIVIA FERRER

ALL AGES SHOW!
INAUGURAL SHOW SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18!
4PM @ UNDER St. MarkS $10

SUPERCUTE!'s Ice Cream Social is a fun, all ages, vaudeville variety show featuring inspiring teen artists showing off their musical talent, comedy, and performance art!

SUPERCUTE's Ice Cream Social will be performed on the third Sunday of every month at 4pm at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place) beginning Sunday, September 18. Tickets ($10) may be purchased online at www.horseTRADE.info or by calling Smarttix at 212-868-4444.

Founded by Rachel Trachtenburg (of the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, 17) with her best friends Julia Cumming and newest member Olivia Ferrer (15 and 12), SUPERCUTE! has been on an astonishing roll of creativity and success since their start in September 2009. Most recently, they were the opening act for Kate Nash's spring 2010 North American and 11 country European tour, wowing audiences from coast-to-coast with their homemade costumes, ukulele-playing and hula-hooping skills, plus - to quote the New York Times - their "incisive, tidy, clever bubblegum pop". SUPERCUTE! writes and performs amazingly witty, catchy and refreshing songs on such subjects as animal rights ("The Pigeon Song"), teen-girl solidarity ("Not To Write About Boys") and the joys of hula-hooping ("The Hula Song"). They also have a knack for brilliantly re-framing ‘70s rock classics such as Pink Floyd's "Pigs (Three Different Ones" and Led Zeppelin's "Misty Mountain Hop". And their video for "Not To Write About Boys" has been spotlighted by well-known websites Stereogum and Boing Boing. Since SUPERCUTE!'s inception, the band has created quite the stir, garnering an impressive array of raves from respected media outlets like The New York Times, The New York Post, Time Out New York and The New Yorker. They've been blogged about by Teen Vogue, have been featured in full 2-page feature in Bust, and were named Deli Magazine's "Band of the Month" for April 2010 - winning them some valuable recording time, which they promptly used for their psychedelic masterwork "Candy City". They've performed at the CMJ conference, at the 92nd Street Y (alongside an impressed Paul Rudd), and at such big venues as New York's Bowery Ballroom, Minneapolis's First Avenue and the Los Angeles's El Rey Theater.

HORSE TRADE THEATER GROUP is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work, it has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater.
