Utilizing an arsenal of original, hand made masks, a cast of eight creates over forty hilarious and often poignant characters intertwined in a visual pastiche of music, optical illusion, and dance.
HOMUNCULUS MASK THEATER COMPANY is dedicated to creating entirely original, image based, physical theater that re-examines mask work from a modern, more relevant perspective.
While retaining the basic fundamentals of traditional mask theater, Homunculus strives to breathe new life into the form by introducing elements of dance, optical illusion, and rock and roll. The result is a brand new style of theater unlike anything else being produced today.
Homunculus' last show, "Eponymous," was a huge success last Fall at the Tank. Don't miss the opportunity to see this one of a kind company as it introduces an evening of completely new work!
