Based on user demand, BWW is taking our commitment to arts education one step further with the launch of the BWW Student Center - High School Edition. This directory features upcoming show listings for more than 1500 high schools nationwide with more being added each week. Schools can register for 'enhanced' listings on the site - adding in photos, cast lists, videos, links and more. Productions that take advantage of this will receive highlights on our listing pages, extra editorial mentions and potential spotlight features.

And just like we do with our College Center, each week BWW will be selecting a high-school program and featuring it as our 'School in the Spotlight: High-School Edition'.

Today, BWW is thrilled to showcase the talents of The Union High School Performing Arts Company (UHSPAC) at Union High in New Jersey! UHSPAC is comprised of a theatre department, a choral music group and an instrumental musical program. All programs offer a range of performing arts events throughout the year with Fall and Spring musicals and plays, a marching band season and a touring swing choir.

Under the direction of James Mosser, the school's Theater Department has been recognized numerous times by the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for its artistic achievements. Past shows produced by UHSPAC have earned such honors as Best Overall Musical, Best Direction, Best Ensemble as well as recognition for Best Actress and Supporting Actor.

Recent show offerings include '42nd Street', 'The Wiz', 'Cabaret', 'Noises Off!', and 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', winner of the aforementioned Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Start Award in the category of Best Musical (2010). For this year's Spring Musical, the Theater Department produced 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' which played March 23 thru April 1 and starred Noelle Hedgcok, Denly Morisset and Christopher Damas and Jessica Braham as 'Hero' and 'Philia' respectively.
