Hershey Area Playhouse Presents WAIT UNTIL DARK 10/22-11/1

Hershey Area Playhouse presents Wait Until Dark - a meticulously-paced, "first rate shocker" as described by the New York Post. Multi-talented playwright, director and singer, Diane Shaffer, helms this production.

This cast features Lauren Turchin as Susy Hendrix and Ed Cohn as Harry Roat, Jr. Jason Ader, Eric Friedman, Curt Sisco, Maria Goldman, Ian Bonner and Mike Lazorcik round out the cast.

According to Director Diane Shaffer, "Wait Until Dark will jack up your heart rate and raise the hairs on the back of your neck. It's about the unlikely collision of underworld characters with an innocent young blind woman. Fear, deception and murder permeate every scene. The actors, staff and crew have worked tirelessly to create a finely crafted theatre piece that is alive and engaging. It would be our pleasure to share it with you."

Producer Michele Robertson went on to say "Wait Until Dark is the most intense production I have ever worked on for Hershey Area Playhouse. Not only is the storyline gripping, but the detail that has been put into the set design is impressive. We couldn't have asked for a more qualified production team and cast to pull this off. Their hard work and dedication will definitely shine through opening night."

The production opens on October 22, 2009 and runs through November 1, 2009 at Hershey Area Playhouse at Country Meadows. Performances will be held Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $15 each for teens/adults and $13 for children 12 and under (service charges apply) and are available at HersheyAreaPlayhouse.com. The theatre is located on the campus of Country Meadows in Hershey at 830 Cherry Drive (near the corner of Sand Hill Road).
