'Heaven Knows' Musical by Charles Bloom Premieres at Westminster Center
Composer, lyricist, and librettist Charles Bloom's new musical, Heaven Knows will be presented as part of 4th Wall Musical Theatre Company's Musicals in Development Stage Series on January 31 and February 1 & 2 at the Westminster Center for the Arts in Bloomfield, NJ.
According to press notes: Heaven Knows invites the audience to meet Kate, a neurotic NY actress, who thinks she knows it all. She gets to spend 24 hours with "Someone" who really does: "all" as in the "Almighty," that is. In an assortment of hilarious incarnations, God takes Kate on a "Holy Roller"-coaster ride through her life, loves & lunacies & helps her to learn, through tears & laughter that, about some things, "Father" really does know best.
Heaven Knows was chosen from numerous submissions that 4th Wall received. The staff and the cast of Heaven Knows have worked closely with Charles Bloom throughout the production process, and the show is being mounted as a bare bones workshop, with minimal sets, costumes, lights and includes a talk back session with the audience after each evening's performance.
Performances are January 31, February 1 & 2 at 7:30PM at Westminster Center for the Arts, Bloomfield College, Bloomfield, NJ. Tickets ($10 or $4 for Bloomfield College students) may be purchased by calling 973-748-9008 ext. 279 or visit www.4thwalltheatre.com
