Hartt School Presents PIPPIN, GHOSTS, & More in 2011-2012 Theatre Division Season

The Hartt School is proud to announce its 2011-2012 Theatre Division performance season. Tickets are available 6 weeks prior to each show. Admission to each performance is $20 with discounts for seniors, students, and groups.
Hartt's newest theatre faculty member and Broadway luminary Kevin Gray directs Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, the first play of the 2011-2012 Theatre season. The show runs Thursday, October 6, Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, October 9, at 3:00 PM. Performances are in the Kent McCray Theater at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.Hartt actor training students present Tartuffe, one of Moliere's most famous plays. Directed by David Watson, Tartuffe runs Thursday, October 13, Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, October 16, at 3:00 PM. Performances are in The Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation Theater at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.Music Theatre students present Pippin, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson and directed by Hartt faculty member Ralph Perkins. Pippin tells the story of a young prince on his search for meaning and significance in his life. Pippin runs Thursday, October 27, Friday, October 28, and Saturday, October 29, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, October 30, at 3:00 PM. Performances are in Lincoln Theater, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford.
