Harlem Stage Announces Upcoming Dance, Music, Theater & Film Events

COLORING MOVEMENT: A Dance Workshop with Camille A. Brown
6:30 pm at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse, 150 Convent Avenue (at West. 135th St.)
Tickets $15 for students; $20 for adults.
Critically acclaimed dancer, choreographer (and former E-Moves artist) Camille A. Brown leads a two-hour workshop for dancers and non-dancers alike to discover ways to color their movement dynamic, challenging both their artistic palette and their approach to the art form. Brown danced with Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, received the Princess Grace Award for Choreography and has made works for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Urban Bush Women, Hubbard Street Dance and more. Part of the E-Moves dance series; presented by Harlem Stage.

Revive Music Group's tribute to legendary jazz musician Roy Ayers features an amazing lineup of music pioneers including hip-hop producer Pete Rock, The Robert Glasper Experiment featuring Chris Dave, Derrick Hodge and Casey Benjamin, and other special guests. The assembled artists salute the vibraphonist's extraordinary career and his influence on -- and contributions to - contemporary urban music. Ayers will be in attendance. Part of the Uptown Nights at Harlem Stage series.
