Los Angeles' own Har Mar Superstar is set to play Knitting Factory Brooklyn for two nights in September-9/7 and 9/28.
Har Mar Superstar started ten years ago when Sean Tilmann decided that the indie rock scene was getting too boring because people were taking themselves too seriously. His immediate decision was to start singing R&B songs with a sexual prowess and performing basically naked; thankfully this worked out in his favor and fans took to him very quickly.
It is hard to determine whether or not to take Har Mar Superstar seriously, but it's easier to just not think about it and enjoy the performance and the music. He's wrote songs for the likes of Brittney Spears and The Cheetah Girls but soon realizing the songs sound better coming from his alter ego Superstar and has kept them for himself. His album "Dark Touches" was released in 2009 that included his hit song "D.U.I" which he created a music video for that became a huge hit on Youtube.
Har Mar Superstar will take the stage for a night filled with entertaining music and more sexual tension from Superstar than anyone could have anticipated, there is no reason fans should miss these two nights. What could be better than porn star Ron Jeremy's look-a-like Superstar performing songs written for Disney stars in his underwear? Nothing. Fans everywhere should come by Knitting Factory Brooklyn for these nights to be greatly entertained.
