Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman will return to the New York stage this month in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, playing October 25, 2011 to January 1, 2012 at The Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street).

The New York Post's Michael Riedel writes today that the show, which will offer $30 tickets for students, already has a $6 million advance through premium tickets selling for upwards of $300 each. By the time Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway opens officially on November 10, it's expected that the total will be closer to 8 or 10 million.

Accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra, Jackman will perform a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers that reflect on the stage and film star's remarkable life and career, from The Boy from Oz to Hollywood.

"I can't believe it's been 7 years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway," said Hugh Jackman of the show. "There is nothing like performing on the Great White Way and I'm so excited to be coming ‘home.'"

Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway follows recent sold-out runs in San Francisco and Toronto.

The creative team for Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway includes Warren Carlyle (Musical Staging and Choreography), Patrick Vaccariello (Musical Direction), John Lee Beatty (Scenic Designer), Ken Billington (Lighting Design), William Ivey Long (Costume Designer), John Shivers (Sound Design), and Alexander V.
