Chicago theater is visceral; it's raw and at its heart driven by the search for truth in the present moment. Larry Silverberg, one of the world's foremost authorities on the Sanford Meisner approach to acting, can teach you how to become a Chicago actor's actor.

What: Nationally known Master teacher and author of "The Sanford Meisner Approach", Larry Silverberg will be conducting a two-day acting intensive in Chicago, September 24 -25, 2011 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont. For the first time Chicago welcomes a weekend workshop - all Meisner, all day- for all levels of performing artists. Appropriate for actors at any level of acting experience (no prior Meisner training is required), participants will relish the challenge and support that this veteran actor, director and teacher so naturally creates in his classes. So, whether an experienced actor or simply curious, you'll won't be the same after a weekend of living truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

Larry Silverberg is one of the world's foremost authorities on the Sanford Meisner technique of acting. Larry is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre where he studied with legendary acting teacher, Sanford Meisner. Green Shirt Studio teaches Meisner year-round in Chicago. Andrew Gallant and Sommer Austin are certified instructors of the Sanford Meisner Approach to Acting as trained by master teacher Larry Silverberg. They are smart, funny, passionate and just a little bit punk. Their belief is that your acting should be as real as the shirt on your back.
