Girl Be Heard (girlbeheard.org) is performing for over 250 youth activists from 85 universities from across the country in partnership with the UNICEF Campus Initiative. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF and Girl Be Heard will be celebrating International Day of the Girl on Saturday, October 12, at 11:30 am sharp with "The Girl Power Show" at Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive.

Girl Be Heard is honoring International Day of the Girl Child by directing global attention to gender inequality and engaging university students across the country in the conversation through theatre, song and dance. Whether they are telling the stories of survivors of sex trafficking in Thailand or forced child marriage in Ethiopia, these fearless ambassadors use their talent and heart to advocate for girls around the world.

Performing throughout New York City to celebrate this historic day, these powerful voices have inherited the mantle proudly lifted by Gloria Steinem, Malala Yousafzai, Leymah Gbowee and countless other fearless leaders who continue to be champions for girls.
