Actor Gilles Marini will guest star on Modern Family, according to TV Line.

Marini is perhaps best known as Luc Laurent on ABC's hit family drama, Brothers & Sisters as well as his second-place finish on season eight of Dancing with the Stars. This August, he appeared on stage in Center Theatre Group's THIS.

He found himself in the international spotlight after appearing in what some have called the second greatest shower scene in film history in 2008's Sex and the City: The Movie. Other recent film credits include One and the Other (L'Une et L'Autre) and The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down.

Television audiences have seen Marini in primetime series such as Nip/Tuck, Ugly Betty, Dirty Sexy Money, Criminal Minds and Windfall as well as the daytime dramas The Bold and the Beautiful and Passions. Marini was named one of People Magazine's top ten Sexiest Men Alive for 2009. His portrait is featured in celebrity photographer John Russo's book, About Face, published by Pixie Press Worldwide.

Marini is set to play "Julian, a friend of a friend of Cameron and Mitchell's whom they both assume is gay. That assumption, however, proves to be erroneous when the boys invite Claire on a rare 'fun night out' and end up leaving her with Julian -- and in short order it becomes clear that this fella is very, very straight."

Modern Family stars Ed O'Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sofía Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex and Rico Rodriguez as Manny. The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Levitan Lloyd Productions. Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are executive producers/creators.

The episode is slated to air in an undetermined 3rd season slot.
