Gay Divorce by 42nd Street Moon Begins April 12

By:

The 42nd Street Moon Theatre Company presents Cole Porter's 1932 romantic musical, Gay Divorce to play April 12 - May 6 at the Eureka Theatre.

Gay Divorce features music & lyrics by Cole Porter with a book by Dwight Taylor.  The 42nd Street production is directed by Greg MacKellan, musical direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Jayne Zaban.

"The classic Fred Astaire musical (filmed as The Gay Divorcee) finds dashing American novelist Guy Holden on vacation in Brighton, England on a search for the mystery woman who's stolen his heart," states press notes, "His romantic quest is complicated by a case of mistaken identity.  The songs include Porter's great standard 'Night and Day,' as well as 'How's Your Romance?,' 'After You, Who?,' 'I've Got You On My Mind,' and 'Mr. and Mrs. Fitch.'"

Performances begin April 12 to play through May 6.  Show times are Thursdays & Fridays at 8PM; Saturdays at 6PM; and Sundays at 3PM.  There is an early curtain Wednesday, April 25 at 7PM.  Low-priced previews are April 12 & 13 at 8PM.  Plus a special discussion with the director and cast is Sunday April 15 & 22.
