Gallery Theatre To Hold Auditions For TAFFETA MEMORIES 5/18
Gallery Theatre (210 NE Ford St, McMinnville, OR.) will be holding auditions for Rick Lewis' Taffeta Memories on Monday, May 18th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm (call backs will be on Tuesday, if needed). The show is directed by Faye Pitman Trupka.
Auditions will be for the following roles:
4 female singers able to play 55-65+ (must have the ability to do/learn some dancing and movement) who can act and sing harmony.
This is a musical comedy featuring The Taffetas, Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl and Donna – four singing
sisters from Muncie, Indiana who in the 1950’s were the talk of the town. Now almost 50 years later,
they are putting on a reunion show. Take a walk down memory lane with them in this nostalgic
Please bring sheet music for a song that you love to sing. A song from a musical comedy would be
great—not Taffeta Memories. Limit your selection to approx. 2-3 minutes (a partial song is fine). Also, you’ll need to dress appropriately for the dance portion of the audition and be prepared to
read from the script. An accompanist will be provided.
Bring a list of ALL conflict dates from May 19 – September 22, 2009. Rehearsals will be Sunday – Thursday each week from 6:30 – 9:00 with some time off to accommodate the holidays.
Eleven Performances: July 31, August 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 – 2009 (Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30pm, Sunday performances at 3pm.
