About Gingold: Gingold Theatrical Group’s goal is to carve a permanent niche for the work of George Bernard Shaw within the social and cultural life of New York; bringing his canon and precepts to larger audiences while encouraging individuals to breathe these humanist ideals into their contributions for the future. Their PROJECT SHAW reading series, now in its seventh year, is the first group ever to present all of Shaw’s 65 plays.

GTG Artistic director and founder, David Staller, produces and directs all of the Project Shaw performances.

Terrence McNally, Tony and Emmy winner, is one of the most versatile and prolific playwrights in the American theater. Many critics have described him as the American Ben Johnson, a British writer whose dark view of the contemporary human situation is tempered by a strong vein
of humor and satire. Currently represented on stage in London with MASTER CLASS starring Tyne Daly, his many plays include Love! Valour! Compassion!, Lips Together Teeth Apart, Ragtime, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, The Ritz, The Full Monty and The Rink.

Brian Murray is one of our most loved and respected actors. Multiple Tony nominee, he has appeared on Broadway in Mary Stuart, The Rivals, Rosencratz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Cruicible, Noises Off, Sleuth. He has also become known as one of Edward Albee’s muses,
creating roles in Albee’s The Play About The Baby and Me Myself and I, among others. He has appeared in 14 Project Shaw performances.

Kate Mulgrew may be best known as Captain Kathryn Janeway on TV’s "Star Trek: Voyager," but is internationally known as an acclaimed stage actress appearing in New York in Equips, The American Dream, Iphigenia 2.0, Our Leading Lady, and off-Broadway as Katharine Hepburn in Tea at Five. She has appeared in 5 Project Shaw performances.
