In Touch reports exclusively that the FOX musical drama Glee will take a two-week break in production while writers and producers regroup and come up with a new storyline for the fifth season of the series.

The cast and crew are still reeling from the tragic news that their co-star, Cory Monteith, was found dead from an accidental drug overdose in his Vancouver hotel room last weekend. A source revealed to In Touch that the actor was to have a "massive storyline" which was set to "happen right at the start of the season." They added, "Everyone on the show was told they were taking a 2 week hiatus until [the producers] figure out what they want to do."

Said the insider, "The writers and producers are trying to figure out what to do with Cory's character because they need to rewrite everything now." Filming on the show's fifth season was set to begin at the end of this month.

Those involved in the show appear to be most concerned about cast member Lea Michele, who had been dating the late actor for the past year. "They really hope Lea is going to be okay as well," the source tells In Touch. "Everyone thought he was the nicest and most talented guy, and they are heartbroken."
