CAP21 will present a fully staged Equity workshop production of a new musical "SIX OF ONE" on May 16 through May 27 at CAP21's Studio One, 18 West 18th Street.

Directed by Frank Ventura, "SIX OF ONE" is a contemporary story of longtime friendships tested and transformed by life in NYC. Called 'A New York Musical Comedy,' the musical follows an urban 'family' as they search for love and fulfillment.

The new musical, which was developed in CAP21's Barbara Wolff Monday Night Reading Series, has music by Paul Loesel and book and lyrics by Scott Burkell. They received a Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Grant for their work on this musical. The cast includes Leslie Becker, Danyelle Bossardet, Scott Burkell, Zac Halley, Guy Lemonnier and Tia Speros under the Musical Direction of Drama Desk Award nominee Lynne Shankel.

"SIX OF ONE" will be presented from May 16 through May 27 with performances Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7 PM and Tuesday and Friday at 4 PM. All seats are $15 and, as seating is limited, reservations are recommended by calling (212) 807-0202.

CAP21 was founded in 1993 by Artistic Director Frank Ventura, to create new works for the theatre, to develop new talent and build new audiences. CAP21's free Barbara Wolff Monday Night Reading Series gives CAP21's writers the opportunity to hear their plays and musicals performed by professional actors and to gain valuable insight from audience feedback. In the past 11 years, CAP21 has developed and/or presented 160 new plays and musicals by nearly 250 writers including four Off-Broadway productions: The Immigrant (2000), Beach Radio (2002), Killing Louise (2003) and Waiting For My Man (2004).
