Franklin Performing Arts Co Hosts Auditions For THE NUTCRACKER
The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will hold auditions for its production of The Nutcracker starting at 11:00 a.m. Dancers from all area dance schools are welcome.. Audition times for children ages 6-9 are 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; ages 10-12, 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.; students ages 13 and up (not currently on Pointe) will be held from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.; and students 13 and up who have been studying Pointe for at least one year, are at 2:30 p.m. Ballet attire and proper hair are required. The Nutcracker will be performed on Saturday, December 10th at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street in Franklin.
Monday, September 26th: The New England Center for the Performing Arts will hold its 3rd annual "Swing for the Center" Golf Tournament at the Franklin Country Club at 672 East Central St. in Franklin. Registration for the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. "Swing for the Center" will raise funds to fuel the development of the New England Center for the Performing Arts. Entry fee is $175 per golfer or $650 per foursome and includes greens fees, cart, golf, shirt, dinner buffet, and entertainment.
