Hunter Foster, Jenny Powers, Christian Hoff, and Gregg Edelman will participate in the industry reading of The Man In The White Suit, a new Broadway-bound musical.

Susan Anderson and Marc Segan will produce The Man In The White Suit, and David Petrarca will direct. The readings will take place on Friday, October 20th at 12:00pm and 4:00pm at The Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row (410 W. 42nd Street).

"Based on the award winning film of the same name, The Man In The White Suit tells the story of quirky and solitary inventor, Sidney Stratton (Foster) who sneaks into one fabric mill research lab after another in quest to perfect cloth that will never soil or wear out. Just when he seems to succeed, he is shocked to find that both industry and labor oppose him. Worse still, he's torn between love and ambition," state press materials.

The Man in the White Suit features lyrics by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann (Tony Award-winners for Urinetown), music by Hollmann, and book by Kotis and David Petrarca.

In addition to Foster (The Producers, Urinetown), Powers (Desperate Measures at NYMF, Little Women), Tony Award-winner Hoff (Jersey Boys) and Gregg Edelman (Wonderful Town, City of Angels), the reading will feature John Horton (Kiss Me, Kate, A Touch of the Poet), John Schiappa (Assassins), Kristie Dale Sanders (Urinetown, The Sound of Music), Stephen DeRosa (Hairspray, Into the Woods), Ian Brennan (The Distance From Here), Wayne Pretlow (The Civil War), and Amy Jo Philips (Show Boat). The ensemble for the reading is comprised of: Rachel Coloff (Urinetown), Christina Longobordi, Renee Brna (Little Women tour), and Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods).

Admission to The Man In The White Suit readings is by invitation only.
