Flurry of Stage Vets Board Michael Grandage's GENIUS Film

The Daily Mail reports that director Michael Grandage has added more stage vets to his film directorial debut GENIUS.

GENIUS, featuring a screenplay adapted by John Logan from A. Scott Berg's book, charts the relationship between author Thomas Wolfe and his editor, which "changed both men forever."

Previously announced, Jude Law stars as Wolfe, with Guy Pearce as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Dominic West as Ernest Hemingway, and Colin Firth as Max Perkins, the New York book editor who discovered and oversaw both authors. Nicole Kidman will portray Aline Bernstein, a stage designer and Wolfe's lover, and Laura Linney will play Perkins's wife Louise Sanders.

Now joining the already star-studded cast are Katherine Kingsley, Gillian Hannah, Richard Dempsey, Ian Drysdale, Corey Johnson, Alex Large, Harry Attwell and Lucy Briers (as Perkins's secretary), who have all worked with Grandage in the theatre.

The Michael Grandage Company is producing with help from James Bierman and Logan; Tim Bevan is executive producer.

GENIUS just ended filming in the UK this week.
