The Flowertown Players of Summerville conclude their 2009/2010 Classic Series with the Woody Allen comedy, Play it Again, Sam. This show is directed by Jim Doran at the historic James F. Dean Community Theatre at 133 South Main Street.
Performances are May 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, and16 at 8:00 PM with Sunday Matinees on May 10 and 17 at 2:00 PM. Ticket prices are $20 with a three dollar discount for students and seniors.
Play it Again, Sam stars Sean X. Marino as Allan, a hapless soul who has recently split with his wife. Allan takes solace in old movies, especially those starring Humphrey Bogart (played by Fred Hutter). As his friends encourage him to start dating again, Allan's imagination conjures up nBogart as a role-model of how to be more confident and masculine around women. Little does he know, the perfect woman may be closer than he thinks.
