Feinstein's At Lowes Regency Presents Garrison Keillor 12/7

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post, will continue their 10th Anniversary season with the debut engagement of author, radio personality and musician, Garrison Keillor. His new show runs Sunday nights from December 7 to 28 at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Most familiar to audiences as host of the variety radio program, A Prairie Home Companion, Keillor has played host to a wide variety of performers from all genres in American music. For his new show, "Man In Tux In Red Shoes With Piano," Keillor will sing the songs himself this time, delivering romantic tunes by Irving, Cole, Elvis, and others, interspersed with stories, thoughts and commentary by one of America's most celebrated endearing storytellers. He will be accompanied Richard Dworsky on piano.

Garrison Keillor, a member of the Radio Hall of Fame, has captivated audiences for over three decades with his writing, humor and satirical commentary. His screenplay for the 2006 movie version of A Prairie Home Companion, in which he stars as himself, was directed by Robert Altman and starred Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep. The radio version - a compilation of comedy sketches, music, and Keillor's signature monologue, "The News from Lake Wobegon" - is heard by more than four million listeners each week with broadcasts from Canada, Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany, Iceland and the United States. He has written for The New Yorker and The Atlantic Monthly and his collection of poems, Good Poems for Hard Times was recently nominated for the prestigious Quill Award.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will play the following schedule: Mondays in December at 8:30 PM. All shows have a $60.00 cover, with $75.00 premium seats, and a $40.00 food and beverage minimum.
