Imagination Theater will present Father of the Bride, directed by Peter Wolfe, opening on September 9.

This is a story familiar to many about a doting father who faces mountains of bills and endless trials when his daughter marries. The play, based on the novel by Edward Streeter, was also the basis for the 1950 film with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. Father of the Bride runs through Sunday, September 25 with shows on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. In addition, two Saturday night shows will be held September 10 and 17 at 7:00 p.m. All tickets are $15. Some seating is on the stage as well as Row A through D.

The seating chart and availability can be viewed at www.it-tickets.org and tickets can be purchased online via PayPal. Tickets are also available by phone at (530) 642-0404.

The box office is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Located on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, Imagination Theater recently celebrated its' 10th Anniversary bringing quality, live community theater to Placerville and El Dorado County.
