54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Farah Alvin (Marvelous Wonderettes, I Love You Because), Kate Shindle (Wonderland, Legally Blonde) and Katie Thompson (Giant, Pump Boys and Dinettes at Encores), who will portray a trio of iconic women in selections from the new musical Vanishing Point.

Vanishing Point is a tour-de-force for its cast of three extraordinary performers. The show intertwines the stories of Amelia Earhart, who disappeared during her round-the-world flight in 1937; Agatha Christie, who disappeared for 11 days in 1926 after discovering her husband's adultery; and evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, who disappeared while swimming in the Pacific, only to reappear three weeks later in the Arizona desert claiming she'd been kidnapped. The musical imagines that these three women came together in a mysterious "vanishing point" where they replay their lives to determine if they want to return to the world.

Vanishing Point originally premiered at Porchlight Music Theatre in Chicago, and was further developed at the Illusion Theater in Minneapolis. After eight full productions in small theaters across the country, Vanishing Point made its international premiere in Spain this past summer, in Madrid's Teatro Lara. In the show, the cast of three portrays not only the trio of iconic women, but also everyone else in their lives: the actresses play each other's mothers, husbands, reporters and other characters.

Kate Shindle, an American icon herself as a former Miss America, takes on the role of Amelia Earhart. Gifted comedienne Farah Alvin plays the Noel Coward-esque Agatha Christie, and powerhouse Katie Thompson portrays force-of-nature Aimee Semple McPherson. Music direction is by Gillian Berkowitz at the piano, joined by cello and clarinet.

Farah Alvin, Kate Shindle and Katie Thompson in Vanishing Point plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) tonight, November 4th at 9:30 pm. There is a $35 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.
