NBC's TODAY reports that THE FAMILY of Joan Rivers has reached a settlement with the doctors and the clinic where the comedian suffered fatal COMPLICATIONS during surgery. Details of the deal, including the amount involved, are confidential.

In a statement released yesterday, Melissa Rivers said: "I am able to put the legal aspects of my mother's death behind me and ensure that those culpable for her death have been responsible for their actions quickly and without equivocation." Meanwhile, she says she is turning her focus to safety at outpatient clinics. Watch the report below.
