Fall Actors' Studio Musical Theatre Workshop Scheduled At WOB, Begins 9/16

By:

Following an extremely successful Musical Theatre Summer Camp production of Seussical The Musical, Way Off Broadway Actor's Studio, which has been offering youth theatre classes since 2003, has announced its Fall Musical Theatre Workshop schedule. Beginning September 16th, students will meet once a week for an eight week session, during which time they will focus on and learn all of the aspects of theater through vocal music, acting exercises, and basic choreography, as well as scene studies and performance techniques. They do this as the class rehearses for a full scale Broadway-style production that will be performed at the end of the workshop.

The class will meet every Tuesday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. from September 16th through November 1st. At the conclusion of the eight week session, the students will perform on the final evening of their class. Registration is done on a first-come, first serve basis and costs $250 per student. The fall session of the Actors' Studio is for student 9 - 15 years old and will be taught by Bill Kiska, Way Off Broadway's Executive Producer, and Jordan Stocksdale, the theatre's Creative Director. Registration may be done in person at the theater or by calling (301) 662-6600.
