FUN HOME's Judy Kuhn Joins Broadway @ The Art House Series in Provincetown

Judy Kuhn is currently starring in the Tony Award winning Broadway musical "Fun Home," for which she was nominated for Tony and Drama League Award Nominations and won the Lucille Lortel Award. On July 29 and 30 at 7:00 pm she joins the celebrated Broadway @ The Art House series, with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host.

She has been nominated for three other Tony Awards for her work on Broadway in the Roundabout's hit revival of "She Loves Me," and the American premieres of "Chess" and "LES MISERABLES" and on film sang the title role in Disney's hit "Pocahontas."

Judy Kuhn has also appeared on Broadway in "Rags," "Two Shakespearean Actors," "King David," and "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," and Off-Broadway in "Eli's Comin'" for which she won an Obie Award, "As Thousands Cheer," "Dream True," "Strike Up the Band," and the world premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's "The Highest Yellow." She created the role of Betty Schaefer in the U.S. premiere of "Sunset Boulevard" in Los Angeles, and starred in "Metropolis" on London's West End for which she received a Laurence Olivier Award Nomination. Other theater includes: Fosca in the critically acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's "Passion" directed by John Doyle at Classic Stage Company, Chekhov's "Three Sisters" adapted by Craig Lucas and directed by Bart Sher at Intiman Theatre, the title role in "The Ballad of Little Jo" at Steppenwolf, "The Glass Menagerie" at McCarter Theatre, Ricky Ian Gordon's "Sycamore Trees" at Signature Theatre, and Martha Clarke's "Endangered Species" at BAM.

On film, Judy sang the title role in Disney's "Pocahontas" as well as the in the sequel "Pocahontas II: Journey To A New World" and starred in the independent feature "Day on Fire" in which she also performed the soundtrack with John Medeski. Other film and television appearances include "Enchanted," "Hope & Faith," "Law & Order," "All My Children," "The Secret Life of Mary Margaret...," "The LES MISERABLES 10th Anniversary Concert," and on PBS' "My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies," "The Kennedy Center Honors," and "In Performance At The White House." She has performed on concert stages around the world including appearances at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, The Royal Albert Hall in London and with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops Orchestra. Seth Rudetsky, has hosted the Broadway Series in Provincetown for the previous five seasons, since its inception. He is the afternoon host on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio's On Broadway as well as the host of Seth Speaks on SiriusXM Stars. As a pianist, he has played piano for over a dozen Broadway shows including Ragtime, Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera among many others. As a comic, Rudetsky was awarded "Funniest Gay Male in NY" at Stand-Up NY and is a three-time Emmy nominee as a writer for The Rosie O'Donnell Show. His newest book, The Rise and Fall of a Theater Geek was published by Random House and is available on Amazon.com. He co-wrote and starred the critically acclaimed new musical "Disaster!" this season on Broadway.

The Art House in Provincetown, MA, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale, is the original home to the internationally acclaimed Broadway @ The Art House series hosted by Seth Rudetsky. In its fifth season last summer, the series presented Broadway superstars like Rosie O'Donnell, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Audra McDonald, and Vanessa Williams. The Broadway @ series also premiered in 2013 in New Orleans, in Australia (Sydney & Melbourne) with Megan Mullally and in London's West End with Patti LuPone at the Leicester Square Theater. In 2014-15 in addition to Santa Monica, the series traveled to New Orleans @ The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Fort Lauderdale @ The Parker Playhouse, San Francisco @ The Nourse Theatre, Dallas @ The Dallas Theater Center, San Antonio @ The Woodlawn Theatre and Detroit @ The Berman Center for the Performing Arts, and this season launched on Martha's Vineyard @ The Performing Arts Center.
