Join award winning performer and critically acclaimed magician, Christian Cagigal as he takes you onto a journey through Time and Reflection. Not a mere series of tricks, Now and at the Hour weaves magic, mind reading, story telling and theatre into an intimate, interactive and altogether "slightly creepy" magical experience.

Christian Cagigal is among a new crop of illusionists and theatre artists that dares to go beyond the usual bag of tricks and bring you into a world of darkness, mystery and imagination. His work doesn't attempt to "Blow your brain" or "Freak your mind", but slowly seep into your subconscious until you have to ask the question, "This isn't real is it...?"

Theatrical magician Christian Cagigal presents his newest show, Now and at the Hour, at FRIGID New York, Feb. 25-Mar. 8, 2009.

Winner "Best of Fringe" at the 2004 San Francisco Fringe Festival with his show Magic @ the Fringe. The show enjoyed sold-out performances at both the 2003 and 2004 San Francisco Fringe. Cagigal was co-director and creative consultant for the San Francisco Ghost Hunt Walking Tour, and has consulted for theater companies around the San Francisco Bay Area including Crowded Fire Theater and A.C.T.'s MFA Program. Cagigal has worked as an actor and writer for the world renowned political theatre company The San Francisco Mime Troupe...it's not that kind of mime. He can be seen in the upcoming
film Fruitfly, written and directed by H.P. Mendoza. Previous magical productions include The 13 Steps and the critically acclaimed The Pandora Experiment. He is currently an artist-in-residence at EXIT Theatre in San Francisco.
Vadanak Ke, Stage Manager
Vadanak Ke is a co-founder of Zeitgeist Artworks, an independent film and theatre production company based in San Francisco. He is a producer, writer, and director for the company and spends a majority of his time with his new wife, with his video games, and at the movies. He has written several plays that have been produced and performed at San Francisco State University, Jon Simm's Studios, and The Marsh Theatre. Zeitgeist Artworks is currently in production for his newly scribed film entitled Vanguards. You can him drop a line on myspace@myspace.com/vadanakke. This is his fourth time working with Christian Cagigal, and he is excited to make some magic happen!

Comments on previous shows by Christian Cagigal:

"...emotionally affecting..." -- Jean Schiffman -- BackStage West

"...intimate spectacle..." -- Chloe Veltman-SF Weekly

"Dastardly clever. Cagigal's feats...keep his audience riveted." - Robert Avila, SF Bay Guardian

"Innovative." - Reyhan Harmanci, San Francisco Chronicle

"No mere illusionist...Cagigal is one of those rare alchemists of the imagination." - Nirmala Nataraj, SF Station

Cagigal's previous show, The Pandora Experiment, played four separate runs in 2007-8 at San Francisco's EXIT Theatre, all to full houses and enthusiastic critical reception.

Asked whom the show is geared for, Cagigal replies, "It's for believers, skeptics, those who hate magic shows, and those who hate theatre. There is nothing inappropriate for children at all but this will not be a ‘kids' magic show."
