First Look at Nonie Buencamino as King Mongkut and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo as Anna Leonowens

Manila, Philippines, December 7, 2012 – Theater stalwarts Nonie Buencamino ("A Little Night Music," "Stageshow") and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo ("Next to Normal," "God of Carnage") will replace Leo Valdez ("Miss Saigon," "Rama Hari"), who currently plays King Mongkut, and Monique Wilson ("Miss Saigon," "Vagina Monologues"), who currently plays Anna Leonowens, respectively when  Valdez and Wilson leave Resorts World Manila's (RWM) production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The King and I" on Sunday, December 30.

Directed by multi-awarded stage director Freddie Santos, "The King And I" follows RWM's phenomenal run of another Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved Broadway musical "The Sound of Music," which ran for eight months.

RWM's production of "The King and I" vies for Best Locally Produced Broadway Show at the 2012 BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards; the musical runs until May 2013 at RWM's Newport Performing Arts Theater.
