FPAC Announces Open Auditions for HUMBUG 10/7, 10/10
Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) is proud to present its hit adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol with its original production of HUMBUG! Scrooge will face his night time visitors with music from every genre and a host of holiday favorites. A ten-piece professional band will accompany the familiar cast of characters for an unpredictable retelling, while more than one hundred and fifty talented singers and dancers will get your toes-tapping for a guaranteed-to-end-happily "holiday musical extravaganza!"
Due to the holiday week-end, FPAC will be offering auditions on two different days. You only need to attend one audition. Please prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo or ballad from the musical theater repertoire (legitimate or contemporary) that best suits your voice. Auditioners may be asked to do a cold reading following the vocal audition. All who audition must be at least 6 years old by the date of the audition. Please attend the Saturday, October 10th audition if at all possible.
Audition times are Wednesday, October 7th for ages 6-10 at Ages 7:30-8 pm, ages 11-14 at 8-8:30 pm and ages 15-adult at 8:30-9 pm. On Saturday, October 10th ages 6-8 at 10-10:30 am, ages 9 and 10 at 10:30-11 am, ages 11 and 12 at 11-11:30 am, ages 13 and 14 at 11:30-12 pm, ages 15 -19 at 12-12:30 pm, and adults at 12:30 pm.
Performances will be held on December 19th at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm and December 20th at 2:00 pm at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street in Franklin .
