FOREIGN LANDS Makes Off-B'way Debut 11/10-20

Acclaimed British play ‘Foreign Lands' makes its off-Broadway debut for eight performances only at the Medicine Show Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street, November 10th - 13th and November 17th - 20th.
A tense psychological thriller about a woman who reconnects with her past by returning to the scene of unspeakable crimes, Foreign Lands was nominated for the Sunday Times Best New Play Award in 1993 and was described by top London theatre critic, Michael Billington, as "one of the best plays in London...combines mystery, suspense, atmosphere and moral purpose in a way that has you grasping for superlatives."
Amanda Broomell, Jenny D. Green, Kelly McCabe and Chelsea Roach make up the all-female ensemble and are directed for The Absinthe-Minded Theatre Company by Ralph Scarpato, company founder.
Foreign Lands is his most recent production in an impressive roster of plays by famed contemporary playwrights such as Frank McGuiness (‘Someone Who'll Watch Over Me'), Ariel Dorfman (‘Death and the Maiden') and Patrick Marber (‘Closer'). Scarpato's policy is to select plays based on a 'certain edginess'. " We're not here to outrage our audience, but to provoke them into thinking, discussing, maybe even arguing a bit over post-performance cocktails.
