FMPAT Presents CINDERELLA WORE COMBAT BOOTS 11/4-8

The familiar tale of Cinderella, with all the basic elements in place-but told here with a considerable and highly imaginative difference. Cinderella, and the other characters, think and speak in modern terms, replacing the innocent mood of the original with the very hip and knowing attitudes of today's young people. The stepsisters are more boy crazy than ugly; their mother more silly than cruel; and the prince is so bashful and tongue-tied that he hides whenever a girl comes into view. And Cinderella does wear combat boots to the ball-which is delightfully consistent with the wacky, tongue-in-cheek, and continually diverting style of this thoroughly charming short play.

The production features four different casts of talented students from FMPAT Young Artist Training Program. Two casts are comprised of high school aged students, and two of elementary and middle school aged students.

Starring in this year's production casts are... Apple Red High School Cast - Justin Blan, Kaylee King, Sam Swenson, Morgan Haney, Alex Altshuler, Megan Lagemann, Taylor Scorse, Austin Greenawalt, and Chelsea Nance. In the Ruby Red High School Cast - Morgan Haney, Justin Blan, Austin Greenawalt, Chelsea Nance, Shannon Fennely, Alex Tellez, Sterling Biegert, Sam Swenson and Taylor Scorse. For the Midnight Blue Elem/Middle School Casts - Dani Altshuler, Emily Barham, Jake Emmett, Haley Hunt, Regina Castellanos, Melanie Tingue, Jacqueline Doke, Carly Coward, and Avery Coward. The Royal Blue Elem/Middle School Cast - Madison McGuire, Emily Barham, Jake Emmett, Elyse Northern, Grace Haney, Alexandra Doke, Mikayla Anthony, Carly Coward and Avery Coward.
