Emma Hunton To Perform At Le Poisson Rouge 10/11
19-year-old Emma Hunton, of Broadway's Spring Awakening will go it solo at NYC's (Le) Poisson Rouge Monday, October 11 at 10pm. Under the music direction of Trapper Felides, the concert will include a soulful and eclectic mix of pop, rock and theater tunes, including covers of songs by Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, Pink, Robbie Williams, Beth Hart and more.
Emma will be joined on stage by special guests Celina Carvajal (MTV's The Search for Elle Woods), Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie), singer/songwriter Drew Gasparini and Morgan Karr (Spring Awakening). The concert is being produced by Joey Oliva and Katie Riegel (jokr productions) in association with Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records.Emma Hunton made her Broadway debut at age 16 as Ilse in the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening. She previously toured with Les Misérables as Young Cosette, co-starred in Distracted with Rita Wilson, and appeared in the film Happy Endings.Music director Trapper Felides is thrilled to be back on stage at LPR where he last stood when The Meeting (with Justin Sayre) did a summer benefit for the Ali Forney Center. Recent concert work includes Our Hit Parade, Trapper's Greatest Hits, The Molly Pope Show, and Bridget Everett's We've Got Tonight (all at Joe's Pub). Trapper has recently been seen on The Chelsea Handler Show, The Today Show, and Nightline, and he has been filmed for E! and profiled in the New York Post and The New York Times. Trapper founded Upright Cabaret with Shane Scheel and Chris Isaacson where he performed with the best talent in stage and screen. Tune in for an upcoming Celina Carvajal concert of Janis Joplin songs, a Paul Simon tribute with Paul himself, and Trapper's own untitled upcoming reality show and book.
